Go Diving

Strap on a tank and go and explore the underwater world in some of the clearest waters the world has to offer. You’ll see incredible marine life, but it’s truly wonderful to just be beneath the surface and watch a total different world go about its day. If you don’t have your sea legs then you can still enjoy this wonderful spectacle by renting a snorkel and swimming out into any of the bays. The water is so clear that you can still immerse yourself in the underwater world.

Stay in a Water Villa

The Maldives is home to the some of the best and most luxurious water villas on the planet. Unsurprisingly, this is a favourite of the celebs and you can live like the rich for a while if you can avoid the paparazzi better than Justin Bieber. There’s no feeling quite like waking up with the sea lapping away underneath you and being able to dip your feet in the water directly from your door.

Visit the National Museum

The National Museum of the Maldives is in its capital, Male, and is certainly worth a visit if you need a break from the sunshine. It will give you some insight into the rich history of this beautiful island and help you understand how life works away from the lazing by the pool and on the beach.

Dolphin Watching

The water is obviously one of the Maldives main attractions, and this is another way of making the most of it. The spinner dolphins are fantastic in the afternoon and more than happy to put on a show, jumping in and out of the water and swimming along with your boat. A great place to see wildlife in its natural habitat.

Spa Spa Spa!

People head to the Maldives to relax and chill out in stunning surroundings. How better to do that than in one of the many luxury spas, where you can get any treatment you could dream of anywhere in the world. The twist here is that most spas in the Maldives are over water, often with a glass bottom, so you can watch the underwater world go by as you relax in splendour.
