Here's a round-up of some of the web chatter from vacation rental owners that caught our eye last week....
What no vacationrentalscommunity.com! Unfortunately not much has happened over there this week, just a couple of updates on some pretty old threads. Is anybody there?
On with LayMyHat:
Peak bookings - restricting to minimum 2 weeks only?
Owners discuss the merits of a 2 week minimum booking period throughout their peak seasons. Frankly any rental that can't fill the peak period has problems so we think this idea is a no brainer. Agree?
What a difference a day makes! alwaysonvacation.com news!!!
It's the second week in a row that AlwaysOnVacation gets a firm kicking from owners - this time on some strange happenings with property descriptions. This firm really isn't having much luck right now.
Pureholidayhomes - success?
Owners discuss whether new entrant to the market PureHolidayHomes.com is actually achieving anything. The general consensus is NO although one poster gets a harsh response when they claim to be getting a good flow of enquiries. Was he a plant or are LayMyHatters just bullying a dissenting voice? You decide.
