The 4 Main Sun Peaks Accommodation Areas:
Burfield Base/Fairway Estates
Burfield was the original mountain base when Sun Peaks opened in 1961 (it was known as Tod Mountain at the time). Because this area is older, many of the chalets are also older. Looking a bit further east from the Burfield Base you'll find Fairway Estates - an area that features a number of Sun Peaks chalet rentals, of mostly newer construction.
The Burfield base features a quad chairlift and is approximately 10 - 15 minutes from the main Village area.
Sun Peaks Village
This is the place to stay if you want to be in the midst of the action! You'll also have quick access to the resort's two main lifts and sports centre which features a year-round outdoor heated pool.
There are a number of larger properties in the village area, but most come in the form or townhomes or condos rather than standalone chalets.
Sun Peaks East Village
This is newest area of Sun Peaks Resort and features a number of beautiful new condominium and townhome developments. Many properties have ski in access and some have ski out access via the Morrisey Express (the least busy of the four lifts from the base).
Walking distance to the main village is no more than ten minutes from accommodations in this area, but there is also a free shuttle service.
Sun Peaks West Village/Surburst Estates
This area features a variety of accommodations - ranging from condos to standalone chalets. Many feature ski in access, but you must walk about ten minutes or take the free shuttle to access the lifts.
